Abstract

In this work a multiuser CDMA systems with both the transmitting and the receiving sites equipped with multiple antenna elements is considered.  The multiuser MIMO channel is correlated at the transmitting and the receiving sites. A detector achieving near-linear minimum mean square error (LMMSE) performance with a complexity order per bit linear in the number of users and receiving antennas is proposed. The large system performance is analyzed in a general framework that includes any multistage detector. Therefore, it applies to any detector that admits a multistage representation, as the LMMSE detector, the multistage Wiener filter, the polynomial expansion detector, and the parallel interference detector.
